The night of Friday February 24th was the United Way Halton & Hamilton’s (UWHH) annual Sleepless in our Cities event. Ten Unifor Local 707 members participated in the event, as a team, at our Local Union Hall. The event was a massive success raising over $245,000.00! These funds will go to help support the hundreds of UWHH funded agencies as they work to assist hundreds of thousands of people in our communities!

Coldest Night of the Year

The Coldest Night of the Year is a moment when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home and shine a light of welcome and inclusion.

On the night of February 25th, Unifor Local 707, family members and friends got together, walked 5km to raise awareness and make donations to fund critical services at a local charity partner where they serve and support, vulnerable families and individuals in our Halton community, that may be hungry or homeless.

This year the Halton community raised over $48,200.00
